When Im on ski trips with Peter Cliff I always feel confident and safe; essential if you want to relax, enjoy your touring and have adventures. And when my skiing isn going well, rather than being critical, hes always there with some hint or trick to put me back on track. Coupled with Peters legendary knowledge of quiet, cosy corners of the Alps and the relaxed atmosphere he creates in the evening. Some of my favourite skiing memories are from tours Ive had with him.
Frank Loftus, Cheshire, 2010.

We met Peter Cliff in the summer 1994, thanks to his then eleven year old son Magnus playing with our children, while we were blocked in the Trient Hut because of stormy weather. There started a longstanding relationship which brought us to many different places in the Alps, be it the Dolomites, the Ortler, the Silvretta or different places in Switzerland. We did these skitours and skisafaris with either Belgian friends or just with my family, but always with some other British mountain-lovers joining the group. What we mostly appreciate with Peter is his global approach to mountaineering, i.e. the guides mission is not just to bring his clients up and down the hill, but to make them like the effort, the downhill, the silence, the beauty - and also the security. Finally, but not the least, Peter adapts himself perfectly to his client. He communicates his mountain knowledge, but also takes his clients wishes and condition into account. After a tour in the mountains with Peter, we always need a week to readapt ourselves to the reality of everyday life in our flat countryside.

I have been ski-touring with Peter since 1995 and have always found that he will try to maximise the potential of any trip within the bounds of safety.
Allan Smith, Glasgow, 2010.

I have been ski touring for 16 years and Peter is the best Ski Mountain Guide I have had the pleasure of spending time with. He has an infectious passion for ski-mountaineering. This is manifested in his years of experience, his books and work with the Alpine Guides. Peter is committed to providing safe and challenging ski tours based on the individual / group skill.
MGP, 2010

I first learnt to ski off piste with Peter Cliff in 1994 at Argentiere in France. We then proceeded to ski the Classic Haute Route. I have been skiing with him as often as possible ever since, including tours in the Bernese Oberland, Bernina, Bulgaria, Engadine, Furka, Gauli, Julier Pass, Otztal and Silvretta; together with ski safaris Klosters - Andermatt, Villars - Kandersteg, and Verbier - Zermatt. We have been on several Ski Safaris with Peter and have thoroughly enjoyed them all. The ski-safari is a great idea: you get to ski off-piste in some beautiful areas far away from the crowds and to visit all sorts of charming, friendly little hotels and tiny resorts. And somehow the fact that it is a journey from one place to another makes it even more of an adventure. Peter is a UIAGM guide with enormous experience and knowledge, and he makes you feel totally confident that safety is always his first priority. He is always keen to pass on his knowledge of snow conditions and avalanche risks and to help with tips on ski technique when things get challenging. We are looking forward to joining Peter for another Ski Safari next year.
Mike Clark and Ruth Kennedy, Sheffield, 2010.

I have skied with Peter on a number of occasions. He is a guide with years of experience, who still treates his clients as individuals, with patience & understanding. As a professional mountain guide, client safety comes first, after that, ensuring his clients get the best out of the skiing available.
Keith Dennis, Yorkshire, 2010

I have been guided by Peter over several years on both climbing and skiing trips.Like all professionals Peter is constantly updating his knowledge and skills, but unlike many guides a small amount of time in each trip is always devoted to instruction and to sharing of any new ideas and techniques. Peters trips are invariably the highlight of any year and so it follows that over the years these trips stay long in the memory. For this reason, Peter has established a dedicated clientele that go on his trips year after year.  Anthony Chin (NZAC), London 2010

I enjoyed 9 very varied tours with Peter over 17 years, some more successful than others, but all rewarding and memorable. As well as a great guide, Peter was a most agreeable companion, the latter important when storm bound in a mountain hut. Bill Wilson, Leeds 2010
